Before you book
- Mental performance coaching and clinical therapy are related but distinct. Coaching is focused on sport: routines, blocks, competition pressure, and the transitions that come with a gymnastics career. Kamryn is a licensed master social worker, so if what surfaces belongs in a clinical setting, she will say so directly and help you find the right level of care.
- Most athletes start between ten and eighteen. Below about age twelve, sessions run shorter and parents are more involved in the plan. There is no hard cutoff — the consult is where we work out whether the format fits your gymnast right now.
- Both. Virtual sessions are the default and work well for athletes anywhere in the country. In-gym observation is part of the Gold tier and available to Nashville-area athletes on other tiers by arrangement.
- We map the skill, the fear, and the moment it shows up. From there it is graded work — imagery, drill sequences with your coach, and a rehearsed routine you run in the gym between sessions. It is structured and it is measurable. It is not a conversation about trying harder.
- Yes, and on the Silver and Gold tiers a monthly alignment call is built in. Athletes still get confidential space — the alignment call covers the plan and how to support it, not the contents of a session.
- Performance coaching is generally not a billable clinical service, so tiers are paid privately. If what you need is clinical therapy rather than coaching, Kamryn can point you toward that route, where insurance may apply.
- Moving up happens any time. Moving down or pausing happens at the end of a commitment period, which keeps the work from being interrupted mid-season. Most athletes start on Bronze or Silver and step up as a competition calendar fills in.
Not sure which tier
Start with fifteen minutes.
The consult is free and there is no pitch at the end of it. Describe what is happening in the gym and you will get an honest read on which tier fits — including whether the answer is none of them yet.
